Tomorrow marks the 6th official Small Business Saturday, and we couldn't be happier about this event. Join millions who are staying around town, and shopping in local joints for the holidays. San Luis Obispo hosts so many SLOcal businesses and business owners who do so much to define our town's unique culture--shop small and support them for the holidays! To get you started, walked a few blocks from our store to highlight just the tip of what SLO has to offer.
1. BOO BOO RECORDS
The place in town to pick up the newest releases or classic records--check out their music listening station for the latest albums and artists, or peruse their extensive record selection. Boo Boos also is the spot to find out about upcoming shows, buying tickets, and new & used record players. It is everything music in there, it's hard not to walk out feeling inspired with a record under your arm.
If you love Boo Boos, check out Cheap Thrills at the end of downtown--they boast of quite the record selection as well.
2. ECO BAMBINO
A store for the littles in your life, Eco Bambino is stocked with eco-friendly toys, clothes and baby needs. Great stop for children and mamas on your Christmas list--or just a spot to make you wish you were small again.
If you are on the hunt for kids gifts, also check out WHIZ KIDS in town. They have the classics: Legos, books you read as a kid, and lots more.
A store that is all male--from street wear to sport team apparel, they have options for the cool Mr in your life. Passport also offers screen replacement and phone repair, so if your phone shopped til it dropped, swing by their downtown storefront. Oh, and say hello to the shop dog, Benjamin.
If you are shopping for men & boys, walk from here down to JULES D. where you will find some sleek apparel, books on whiskey and golf, and shaving kits.
4. FROMAGERIE SOPHIE
Cheese me. A little bit of France has settled in San Luis Obispo with this authentic cheese shop. This fromagerie's selection of cheese will leave you standing and sampling at the counter, or sitting on their back porch with wine and one of their incredible cheese plates. These cheese mongers will help keep your holiday party game on point!
Get a little international flavor right in your hometown with this fairly traded import store. Discover all sorts of unique finds from round the globe, many handmade by artisans who feel your support with every purchase. A place you can simultaneously shop small and global.
